What is our online locksmithing service?
South Dorset Locksmith offers an ‘online locksmithing’ service, where we attempt to consult and guide over a video call remotely. To schedule an appointment, please either call or email us on the details provided on our Contact page.
Why would I want to use this service?
This service is intended for a number of use-cases:
- Service fee: Our online service costs considerably less than our standard call-out service.
- Time: We understand that your time is very important; booking an online consultation saves you the wait time and gives you instant access to our professional services.
- Less complex: Typically the jobs we consult on online are less complex than those that require a call-out service.
- Note: For our online consultation service, you will only be charged for the duration of the time you spend on the phone. If however, a follow-up out call appointment is required, additional charges will be applied to your total invoice.
How does this service work?
Our online service can be outlined in a number of steps below:
- 1. We schedule a day and time that best works for you.
- 2. Over the phone (preferably video call) we discuss the problem at hand, you will then show us exactly what the issue is and provide any information on what you may have already done to fix the issue.
- 3. Based on the issue, if this is something that we believe you can fix yourself, we will provide you with an exact list of step by step instructions to guide you towards the solution.
- 4. If however, after detailed discussion and closer inspection, we believe that the problem is a bit more complex than first seems, we will schedule an out-call appointment with you to fix it ourselves.
